At 14, Kalli and her aunt traveled to New York City. She had started modeling with the Millie Lewis in her hometown of Mount Pleasant, SC. But now she was in search of a bigger, more national agency, one that could give her a career in modeling.
As she went from agency to agency, she was followed by the local Channel 5 News. “When I was little, I always watched America’s Next Top Model and I always thought that was so cool,” she told Channel 5, “but it's harder than it looks.”
Now five years later, Kalli is a full-time model with Trump Model Management in New York, a boutique agency that accepts only a few models. Also, for a time she was with Factor in Chicago where she worked Kohl’s and Sears.
